Elizabeth was born in Oslo, Norway, one of three children. Her dad was in the Air Force and her mom took care of the kids (with help from Perita, a family friend from Spain, and a huge gray cat). Elizabeth's family moved a lot. She spent most of her childhood on bases in Germany, where she forgot all her Spanish but eventually learned some German. She traveled extensively throughout Europe as a kid (though her skiing skills are still severely lacking in spite of it.) Elizabeth went to high school in California and attended SJSU, majoring in Social Work. After graduation she got a job in Special Education and eventually, Deaf Education. She worked in that field for many years as an instructional assistant and interpreter both here in the South Bay and also in Seattle, Washington, whereshe moved after an extensive trip back through Europe. She now lives happily in Northern California with her husband Scott, and Mitchell Mini Schnauzer, both of whom are very supportive of her literary efforts. Elizabeth writes full time and is currently working on a sequel to Blunderland.
