Elizabeth Turner, born in the south in 1957. Elizabeth grew up in the pre-Disney World time of Orlando, Florida. She spent numerous hours observing all kinds of wildlife from ants to bats, but she has a true love for birds. Discovering the hidden world of migratory warblers in the foliage of a small botanical gardens located in Winter Park, Elizabeth began a journey that has resulted in her first book, "Ruti Redstart in Bounding Flight". Ms. Turner has been a science educator both formally and informally for over 28 years. She won the Disney Innovative Teacher Award and was a Governor's nominee for Environmental Educator of the Year in 1995. Now living in the subtropical islands of the Florida Keys, Ms. Turner is an informal educator and President of the Florida Keys Birding and Wildlife Annual Festival.
