I always wanted to write but I had to get a few things out of my system first. I was a university drop out, a waitress, a movie extra and hopeless DJ. I worked in a pickle factory in Germany (think rubber boots squelching with warm vinegar! and I counted traffic at an intersection in small Dutch town. (There was a lot of it!) In my mid twenties, I got a real job as an advertising copywriter. I started travel writing in my thirties. Then, when I was forty, I went to Greece on a writing course and came home with the love of my life and an idea for my first novel. Postcards from the Heart was published 2011. The Heart Whisperer followed in 2013 and The Flower Arrangement came out in 2015. I love bittersweet books about love and loss, so that's what I try to write.
