Ellen Langas CampbellAuthor of the Girls Know How® book series andPresident, NouSoma Communications, Inc."'What do you want to be when you grow up?' It's a universal question that seems simple, but the answer can change our lives forever."When I was young, there weren't many female career role models, so I really couldn't picture myself as a successful business woman. It wasn't until a college professor helped me discover my potential that I realized I could achieve my dreams."That is why I created Girls Know How®. The message of our books is simple: A girl's career aspirations, no matter what they are, can be achieved. With desire, hard work and positive role models, girls really CAN be who they want to be when they grow up!"Prior to founding NouSoma Communications, Inc., a marketing, publishing and public relations company, in 1995, Ellen was an officer of billion-dollar QVC, Inc. where she originated the Public Relations Department and gained national visibility as a popular on-air host and consumer spokesperson. She also is an accomplished commercial actress and voice-over artist.Ellen was named one of Philadelphia's "Women of Distinction" and a Freedom Valley Girl Scout Council "Women of Achievement" honoree. She received an Excellence Award from Working Woman magazine and was named one of "Pennsylvania's Best 50 Women in Business." As Mrs. Pennsylvania 1994, she represented Pennsylvania women, speaking on family and women's issues statewide. A summa cum laude graduate of Robert Morris University with a Bachelor of Science degree in marketing, she received her MBA from the Katz School of Business at the University of Pittsburgh.
