Everyone keeps using the phrase "star-crossed lovers" to describe the characters in this novel, but that phrase means they're marked for death... yet there is a HEA? I'm conflicted about reading this, but I saw it somewhere recently and might grab it when I come across it again.

Emery Lee is a very good writer and, while this is most definitely a romance, it's not your typical historical romance. Don't look for Kleypas or McNaught or even Beverley in this story.
