Like the last one, somewhat melancholy, but beautiful. Fin's quiet love, Razo's loyalty, the friendship between Enna and Izzie that was just perfect. We need more books with those being the power themes. Hale gets my undying recommendation to girls looking for a read.
After the death of her mother, Enna returned to her home in the forest to help her older brother take care of the place. But when her brother discovers how to control fire, Enna begins to fear the changes she sees in her brother. At the same time, a war with Tira begins and her brother's new ability...
I can't really form coherent thoughts about this one yet, but suffice it to say this for now:4.5. Loved it. Finna forever. And I feel like I have a fever just from the descriptions.
I read this in the wrong order but it shouldn't really matter much for the Goose Girl book. This is a story about a girl whose brother finds a piece of vellum that tells him how to channel fire. When he dies she takes the vellum and as her country is at war she decides to channel the fire to help....
I love this book with a deep, burning passion (pun intended). In many ways it's even better than the Goose Girl.
