Meh. A constant onslaught of vocabulary, some useful, some seemingly less useful for a beginner. Could have used more in-depth grammatical explanations. However, it's not a book for teaching yourself, which is exactly what I used it for. I'll probably give "Genki 2" a chance regardless.
