Eric Begbie lives in Scotland and is interested in country sports, photography and travel. His books include several titles on wildfowling and gundog training and, in addition, he has written well over 2000 articles for national and international magazines.He has served on the national council of the British Association for Shooting and Conservation as well as many other national and local clubs and societies. He is active in other sports such as curling, fishing and lawn bowls.Although based in Britain, his travels have taken him extensively to North America, where he has spent time in 43 US states and 5 Canadian provinces. He has also visited many European countries as well as New Zealand, Australia and Hong Kong and many Caribbean islands.His photographic interests are mainly landscape, wildlife and still life, using Nikon digital and film cameras and Mamiya medium-format.
