Eric Freedman is an Associate Professor and Associate Director of the School of Communication and Multimedia Studies at Florida Atlantic University. His early scholarly work on public access cable television, excerpts of which are included in The Television Studies Reader, The Television Studies Book, and the journal Television and New Media, has culminated in a research agenda that tackles several interrelated subjects that are included in the broad terrain of new technology, media access, and autobiographical discourses. Recent work includes his book Transient Images: Personal Media in Public Frameworks (Temple University Press) and contributions to the on-line journal Flow.
