Eric Lundgren was born in Cleveland and grew up in Minneapolis, Minnesota, where he turned to reading as a survival method in the winters. He attended Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, and earned his MFA from Washington University in St. Louis, where he was awarded a third-year fellowship. His work has appeared at Tin House, Quarterly West, The Quarterly Conversation, and The Millions. His first novel, The Facades, was an editor's buzz panel selection at Book Expo America and a Barnes & Noble Discover Great New Writers pick for Fall 2013. He works at a 100-year-old public library in St. Louis, where he lives with his wife Eleanor and their two cats.

Another time, another place I might have enjoyed this book. But I read this too soon after "Hard-Boiled Wonderland and the End of the World" and "Aurora" and I'm tired of the existential BS.
