Dead Petals had potential. A group leader who isn't all "Yessss, we must stick together!" and has no desire to be an action hero. The other characters acted just as crazy as you'd expect people to act if the feces ever actually hit the fan. Some of the characters were just amusingly weird in genera...
This was definitely a different take on a zombie apocalypse. Strange is a good word for it. I'm still not sure how I feel about the book exactly, because I'm not sure what i read. It's a weird situation.
