I turned to writing after 11 year as a software developer. As a developer I thought of myself as a "utility infielder", someone willing to take on almost any project. I worked on server-side, desktop, and web apps, doing all the usual (and some unusual) developer tasks: designing, testing, documenting, presenting, working on teams, etc. In my first book, Thinking Beyond Coding, I applied this experience to describe what the developer career is all about.I live in Wylie, TX with my wife and their two boys.
