Erin E. MacDonald was born and raised in Manitoba, on the Canadian prairies, where she wrote stories and poems from an early age. Deciding she needed a real job, she went to school to become a teacher, receiving a BA in English and BEd in English and History from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, Ontario, followed by an MA and a PhD in English, both from the University of Waterloo. Now teaching at a large college in southern Ontario, Erin writes books in her spare time. Her literary companion book on mystery author Ed McBain (real name Evan Hunter) was published in 2012, followed by a composition textbook she co-authored with her husband. She then edited and contributed to a collection of essays on the films of Robert Downey Jr, one of the most interesting actors of our time. Robert Downey Jr. from Brat to Icon was published by McFarland in October 2014. For more information, see Erin's website and blog at www.erinemacdonald.com.
