This was a delightful book, for readers of all ages. It's filled with family tidbits from the early 1920's. The writing style is from a narrative point of view, describing the lives of the family through one of the sons. There are many parts where the father strongly reminds me of J. Jonah Jameson f...

What do you get when you put twelve lively kids together with a father -- a famous efficiency expert -- who believes families can run like factories, and a mother who is his partner in everything except discipline? You get a hilarious tale of growing up that has made generations of kids and adults a...

This is the book that made me wish I had more siblings! Such a great family, and such a great story. The best part is that it's all true! A more loving, happy-go-lucky family you will never find.

Not many people know that there's a sequel to "Cheaper by the Dozen." Amazingly, this one is every bit as good as the first book. Just reread it for the millionth time.

I recently read to it to my nine-year-old son, who loved it (we watched the 1950 movie of the book immediately after; for his own sake, we are not watching the trashy and completely un...

As an only child books about siblings and massive families were so fascinating to me. This is one of the only 'assigned reading' books from middle school that I remember really enjoying.

This book was like this huge phenomenon in my family when I was growing up. All of us kids loved it, and talked about it a lot. I don't know if I'd still like it now, but I have lots of great memories of it!
