I went on vacation at the end of October, read a surprising amount on the trip, and stopped reviewing books here. To be fair, booklikes was having issues before and after I left, so even when I was trying to review books I couldn't. So I'm catching up now before the end of the year. I enjoyed Esi...
Read for a challenge - read a child favorite.I remember I loved this book when I was little - even did a book report about it. I do see now that I'm older, that it's not exactly decent of him to lie to a gullable older lady to trick her into falling in love with him, but it's still cute :)
The combo Roald Dahl- Quentin Blake can't do no wrong. It could be either about a child or about an old man, like in this case. It is a book for children, but there are no children in this story. The drawings are as cute and funny as ever.
Fantastic book for kids! So imaginative and creative. Easy read that children will find delightful!Roald Dahl is always brilliant! His stories and rhymes are fun and entertaining! Some of my all time favorites!! Such a great way to entertain children and get them interested in reading!
Oh my. What a cute book. This is one of the books I've never heard of in my collection so I had no idea what to expect going into it. I was pleasantly surprised to find that this was one of Dahl's sweeter books. When you really stop and think about his books, you'll realize many of them are a bit me...

I AM glad he thought to tell us what happened to Alfie though,...
I didn't know what this one was about when I grabbed it. I thought maybe "Esio Trot" was the name of a foreign little boy. Turns out it's "tortoise" spelled backwards. This one's kinda dumb. It was published the year Roald Dahl died, and I think he'd lost his edge by then. I'll give it three star...
