This rating is for the translation. As I have read other translations, and can compare them, but would not rank or judge the Bible, since I don't have the knowledge to do that, and being a book of both theology and history, spanning many thousands of years, would be impossible to review in that way ...

As usual, Eugene Peterson's book, Reversed Thunder, is a well written encouragement for my family, the family of God to live a life of praise in harmony with our Savior and Friend. And, as usual, this book is encouraging and a powerful read for the family to consume for spiritual health.

I found it a touch sexist at times, and the authors' values didn't quite coincide with my own. But if you can get past that and the religious component of it, the ideas seem pretty solid.
