There is both excitement and dismay in Llanfair when a new French restaurant opens. One night the restaurant burns down, and a body is found in the rubble.
Constable Evans joins Sergeant Watkins to follow a trail of clues that leads them to the South of England and then to France, and finally to the conclusion that a dangerous killer is loose in Llanfair.

The story gets 4 stars, but the editing deserves a 2. There were a ton of typos in the first half of the book: a few misspellings, but mostly missing punctuation. Oddly, I didn't notice many past the half-way point; I wonder two different people each edited half the book.
