This was another really good book in this series. Both had appearances in the previous books. Holly is an elemental (human with fae heritage) and controls metal. She's an inventor for the SOS. Will is a sanguis demon (think vampire). In the previous book, both were kidnapped. Holly for her abi...

Solid 4.5...I don't know I might need a reread. I can't put my finger on why this fell a little short of 5--when they are separated, I thought oh, I wish I got to read a whole extra book on Will falling for Holly again so maybe it was the neat ending. Maybe it was that I didn't want it to end.

Delicious, evocative, witty, passionate, and beautifully well-crafted story. Love it. This installment has the best witty banter between the two main characters. I loved watching them spar with each other. There were quick back and forth moments that made me smile and laugh. Callihan surpassed the o...

Really good story about Holly and William Thorne. I love when a man shows some vulnerability and Williams through an event in another book has come to need Holly even though he doesn't want to. And Holly will try almost anything to ease his suffering. The ending was spectacular. The prologue, I'm no...

I loved it. It had all the great stuff that the prior installments had and some wonderful banter and humor that I did miss a bit. I loved Will and Holly. I can't even say why this was such a delight - I just enjoyed it tremendously. I am looking forward to the next ones - although I am not s...

ReviewI've said before that I love this series.  The characters, storyline, and setting gets better with each book. Will Thorne and Holly Evernight have a connection.  They each refuse to admit it.  Holly is a strong female character.  (Pretty much all of Callihan's female characters are.) Her bigges...

Well, that certainly put the steam in "steampunk.". In perhaps a different measure than I expected. *coughs*I need to get my head out of that space before my mind goes to the gutter, but in sum - I liked this book, but not as much as previous entries in the series. I will start this review saying th...
