He is scholar of gothic fiction and movies, science-fiction and horror. He translated works of Bram Stoker, Charles Nodier, Joseph Sheridan Le Fanu. Giovannini is currently author of texts for Rai, Italy's national public-service radio and television broadcasting organization.
