Too mushy for me. Plus, I hate the "I'll never let another man in my heart again!" trope. Codswallop. But the magic was fun. Still, I gorged myself on the story, mostly all in one sitting, and while I feel the need to detox, I still can't say I disliked the read. NR's knows how to write a scen...
This was the perfect end to this series. I'd wondered why they got their books in the order they did, but there's no way that Mia's book could have been the first one. I still want to know how NR gets so many different story lines. This makes my eight book by her (not including the one's she's writt...
I liked the strong independent heroine but there was not enough justification for me to forgive the hero despite all his entreaty. The plot was okay for last book in series but too much paranormal speculation for my taste. After leaving her ten years ago, Sam returns with hopes of winning back Mia...
I never thought I'd give it five stars in the end, but there you have it. The entire premise of this book (not the series!) was based on the fact a nineteen-year-old girl knew what love was when she loved Sam Logan eleven years ago. A love so strong, so powerful, she'd shattered when he left. You we...
While this wasn't my favorite romance of the trilogy (that would be Zack & Nell's story) I think it was my favorite overall story of the three. As the evil that has haunted the Island is closing in, Mia has to deal with her heartbreak from the past and open herself up to being hurt again in order t...
Disappointing conclusion to a relatively decent series from Roberts. It was repetitive, and it could have been at least 100 pages sooner. The major conflict (involving Evan Remington) was introduced far too late - I was bored by then. Too bad, because I usually love second-chance love stories.
Mia and Sam are one of my absolute favorite couples Nora Roberts has created. I loved the sharing of power and the overarching theme of forgiveness. And young love lost then found is kind of my jam.
