It's been a few years since I last read this book and now that I've got myself equally entrenched in the world of audio books it seemed inevitable that Josh Lanyon would be one of the authors that I'd want to revisit on audio and her 'All's Fair' series is one of my favorites. 'Fair Game' is the fi...
This was a good mystery type read. I wasn't able to get into it as much as I usually do with this author. I'm thinking it may be totally me and not the book because I was distracted while reading. I did still like it, and I do still recommend it.
4.5 stars. I love Josh Lanyon's characterizations, this time we have a disabled ex-FBI agent turned professor and his ex-lover who is still a feeb. My only complaint is that it took the guys a big hunk of book to get back together again. Moving onto book two (probably.)
Fair Game reminded me, in some ways, of the Holmes and Moriarity series that was my first dip into Josh Lanyon’s writing. In both series Elliot and Kit were unhappily thrust back into interacting with their ex’s. In both books the previous relationships ended badly, and they were filled with dread a...
Elliot was forced to give up his career in the FBI when he was injured in the line of duty. Now, he teaches at PSU. When a family friend's son goes missing, his father asks him to investigate because the police and FBI aren't taking his disappearance seriously. He is then forced to work with his ...
Well, that left a bad taste in my mouth. Elliot, the protagonist calls a black woman racist, twice. Apparently it's a two way street and you can't call someone a racist without being one yourself. Especially if you're black, and a woman. Speaking of the women, none of them are shown in a positiv...
Hmm...well I didn't guess right in my hunt for the bad guy, in fact the person I thought it was ended up dead themselves. It was a very interesting and well thought out storyline. It was the romance that I didn't enjoy as much. There wasn't much reading time of the couple together, not until afte...
So. Good. I'm a full-on converted Josh Lanyon fanfirl. It's official. This book was great. Super slow relationship build, but man, when they make it work? *happy sighs* There was a mystery. It was well done. I don't always love the mystery aspects, and I guess the endings too often. I had many suspe...
4 CHEMISTRY INDUCED STARSThe thing is, I'm a big freaking scaredy cat. LIKE BIG. I stay away from reading Murder Mysteries because I have a tendency of not sleeping well, weird dreams and looking over my shoulder. Hearing noises that aren't really there. Needless to say, ^^^^ all of the above ^^^^ w...
Wonderful read!As always with a Josh Lanyon's book I was kept on edge of my seat. I never suspected the unsub until maybe two minutes before it was revealed ;)) I absolutely loved the book! And of course the MCs were wonderful.
