This is one of those books that I own and re-read periodically, whenever I need an infusion of laughter and good writing. I love the author. I’ve read everything she has written and enjoyed it. I also subscribe to her blog. She is a master of light-hearted romantic comedy, and this book is one of th...

This is one of my favorite Crusie books and apparently I’ve never actually reviewed it here! But let me put it this way: if you love “How to Steal a Million” (which you should, because Audrey Hepburn! And Peter O’Toole! And hijinks and romance in a cupboard!), you’ll probably like this book. Even kn...

I've read this probably four or five times. It's one of my go-to books when I need to get out of a serious reading slump. It has so much going on--(fair warning, possibly too much going on)--that it takes multiple readings just to catch everything. Jenny Crusie is a genius, and oh, how I wish I were...

I think if you look in the dictionary under dysfunctional, you'll see two pictures. One of the Dempsey's and one of the Goodnight's. They are both wacky families from the grands down to the youngest child. Kookie but fun to be around. I really liked Davy Dempsey. He tried so hard to give up the c...

I liked Welcome to Temptation better as a romance. As a whole, I like Fake it better. The story was nuts, it made me laugh quite a few times. I really think that Gwen and Ford need their own book. Gwen is my new hero. I actually didnt "get" Tilda as a character, or Davey for that matter. The whole a...

Been so long since I read this one, surprised with how rough around the edges Davy Dempsey is. Pure Crusie magic with the managing tropes and expectations, and a better mystery than WELCOME TO TEMPTATION.

You guys, I really liked this one, although it's more content-heavy than I normally go for. I couldn't resist the combination of art forgery (How to Steal a Million is one of my favorite movies!) and Columbus, OH (my old hometown!).

Rating 3.25The first half of this book annoyed me, I almost DNF'ed it but the second half worked much better for me because the heroine worked better for me, in the first half she seemed dull, morose, lifeless and I didn't see what the hero Davy saw in her, so much so that he stole for her when he w...
