I liked War Horse (the book, NOT the movie) and decided to read this sequel, even though I'd seen some disappointing reviews. A quick read with lots of illustrations, it is a sweet story-within-a-story written for children, and I enjoyed it. This is exactly the kind of book I loved as a kid.
