This is a fun venture into a realm of mysticism that I was never really familiar with. It's a great YA book, definitely made for a YA audience, but enjoyable for any reader who can keep that in mind. I know that not all adults read YA, but I'm one that does. There are a select few that don't feel li...
I found this book in the book section of a local supermarket several years ago. I picked it up before I read 'The Immortals' series by the same author. Cover lust - totally loved the pretty yellow cover and I'm a sucker for anything with Native American mythology. I love Native American mythology. A...
Maybe I set my hopes too high for this but I didn't really enjoy it that much. I was torn between giving it a 2 or a 3 because it just didn't hold my interest for long enough. Good idea, shame about the delivery. Fans of Noel might like it more than I did.
This wasn't for me. The writing wasn't horrible or anything, although it got annoying at times, but it wasn't too bad. I just couldn't stand the characters andd the fact that big events happened 'off-screen.'
Fated was good... but the reason why I only gave it three stars is because I was really expecting more Daire and Dace action. So that's what I'm hoping will be in store for Echo. ;) Should be starting on the next book tomorrow or Tuesday. ^-^
This review can also be found here Actual rating 3.5 stars. In the beginning this novel was really slow paced to the point where I almost gave up. I found that I had to actually force myself to get through the first third of the book. After that I really got into the story and I enjoyed it greatly. I...
This book is the first book in the Soul Seekers series by Alyson Noel. Having read Alyson's Immortals series, I had expected to love this series too. However, I did not, and I will tell you why...There were parts in this book that were lacking. It took me ages to get into, and the characters are kin...
*Genre* Young Adult*Rating* 3.5*Review forthcoming*Obviously this book was a lot better than I thought. I really liked Dace and Daire. There are questions left to be answered, but, the series is just getting started. Always did like the setting of New Mexico for a series and this one doesn't disappo...
I really liked the blurb and wanted to read before possibly attending an author event. I forced myself to read at least half of it because I kept expecting it to pick up. Alas, it never did. I couldn't get interested in the story and didn't care for Daire. I especially dislike page long paragraphs a...
