Father Sebastiaan, most commonly referred to simply as "Father," is one of the central personalities of the Vampyre/vampire subculture. He is known as the master fangsmith of SABRETOOTH, Impresario of the Endless Night Vampire Ball & author of Sanguinomicon (Weiser 2010), Vampyre Virtues (Sabretooth Books 2011) and Vampyre Magick (Weiser 2012).He joined the vampire community in 1992 and is now known as an authority and teacher on Vampyrism, fangsmithing, and Strigoi Vii. He is also an avid student of Chaos Magick and esoteric studies.Sebastiaan is the founding father of numerous organizations and businesses, including the fangsmithing company SABRETOOTH, event coordination company Endless Night Productions, and the Fangsmith Guild. In addition, he hascoordinated various legendary events such as the Vampire Ball of New York, Long Black Veil at MOTHER, Black Lutetia "Le Klub Vampyre" in Paris, Black Xion in Amsterdam, and the Endless Night Festival in New Orleans. He also is the editor-in-chief of the Vampyre Almanac and the originator of the Black Veil, code of ethics for the Strigoi Vii and Sanguinarium. Over the years, Sebastiaan has appeared on television multiple times, including programs on A&E, CNNfn, Discovery Channel, History Channel, and National Geographic and episodes of USA's Up All Night and MTV's Oddville. He was also featured as a central character in the French documentary and book Vampyres: Reality Is Stranger than Fiction, by Laurent Courau, as well as Katherine Ramsland's (Anne Rice's biographer) book Piercing the Darkness: Undercover with Vampires in America Today. He has been featured in Cosmopolitan, The New York Times, the Financial Times, InStyle magazine, Glamour, Skin Two, and Time Out New York.Sebastiaan has lived in New York City, Amsterdam, Philadelphia, Dubai, and Berlin; however, he considers himself not only an American but instead a New Yorker.
