An Arabic translation was published in 2009 in Omdurman, Sudan, under the title "Seif al-Nabi: Mahdi al-Sudan". His second book, a biography of the 17th century Mughal emperor Shah Jahan, was published in 2009. His third book, provisionally titled "A Perfect Pandemonium: The Khartoum Journals of General Gordon and Colonel Stewart", will be published in 2011.
