On Lily Sanderson’s eighteenth birthday she’ll become just a girl—still a mergirl, true, but signing the renunciation will ink Princess Waterlily of Thalassinia out of existence. That leaves plain old Lily living on land, dating the boy she loves, and trying to master this being-human thing once and...
3 stars. As a contemporary read with tail fins, scales, and mythical mermaid castles and as a sequel, this book was pretty good. Like omfg I need the next book good? No. But hey, in the first place, this series never offered much; it was more of like a ... fantasy, teen ride? Just something for fun....
After finishing Forgive My Fins and completely falling in love with it, I was both excited and anxious about starting Fins Are Forever. Excited because I was looking forward to reading more about Lily and her story but anxious because usually the sequels rarely live up to the first book. However, I ...
Not as good as the first one. Very easy and fast reading. Again, it read like a MG but interactions and some very little dialogue were YA. It needs to be balanced out. I'll probably read the next one though.
This book was fintastic! The ending doesn't leave you floundering quite as much as the last book; yet it still leaves you wanting more. This is the perfect series for every teenage girl who ever wished she could be a mermaid.
This was an enchanting sequel. Lily deals with some interesting circumstances that not only shake up her now perfect world, but makes her question her own decisions. The ending is perfect while leaving it open for more. I can't wait to read what happens next! Here's hoping that Ms. Childs writes ano...
The first book is much better but i have to say.. the author is really good at making me imagine life under water =) Maybe the story was lacking (for me) because the focus wasn't wholly in Lily and Quince.
I was quite disappointed by this one. The first fins book was so amazing. This one, well it fell flat. Don't get me wrong, I love the characters, and they develop well, it's just that everything happened too quickly, and wrapped up too neatly. Doe's issues seemed so deeply ingrained within her mind ...
The ending came a shocker. But I guess,it had to happen. I liked how Lily has matured and start seeing others more unbiasedly.(is that even a word? Unbiasedly?) she acting far more like a princess and the future monarch she should be, by not allowing her personal feelings to cloud her judgements. Th...
What I liked most about this book is the great plot line. I adore the first book and this book picked up right where it left off. The characters in this book really grew up from the last. I like that this time around there was more drama in the Kingdom and family. This element in the book made for ...
