Actual rating 3.75 stars. I find I enjoy the historical novels in this series more, though they all tend to follow the same general pattern.

Jack needs help from Chloe with the Burning Lamp to not turn into the monster his great grandfather cursed their line with. And of course Nightshade is in the works, waiting for a chance to gain power. Fallon from J&J makes an appearance, too.

Unfortunately, even with all that going for it, I didn't love the book. Maybe...

(Kindle Book)What can I say? It's classic Krentz :) As a fan of the Arcane Society novels, I pretty much knew what to expect, and was not disappointed.I really liked the direction the Dreamlight concept appears to be taking the series -- previous novels in the series (such as The Third Circle and J...
