Enjoyed it. The romance is, eh, okay - not bad, but nothing I got too excited over, either. Seemed to be just sorta thrown in there, ya know? For me, it was all about Scout & Lily's friendship & adventures. Those 2 seriously rocked it, Scout especially. I must admit, having read this author's Chicag...

I would probably say more like 2.5 than 3. I liked the idea for the story and I love CN's other series, but these characters just didn't have as much depth as CLV. However, I am intrigued enough with the world that she built that I'll probably grabbed the next one to read

A little slow, lots of the usual "suspecting something weird going on, discovering a new world, being thrown into the new world, fighting against being part of the new world, accepting your role in the new world, and FINALLY Big fight scene". Hoping the second book will have more action.
