This was a pleasant story, wrapping up plot threads from the first book. I liked that Merrick found love too. This introduced Jonah who gets his own story (and that promises to be interesting). Looking forward to Crane and Stephen as side characters in his since they have some unfinished business.Ri...

So Merrick did find someone, and what a someone!!! It's great that Crane acknowledges how often he's getting kidnapped, and is as over it as I am. I loved the interplay between the characters as they realize how much compromise it takes to join two lives. Love, while great, does take work. Th...

**spoilers** What a bummer. I was at 91% on my Kindle, thinking I still got a good 9% of Stephen and Crane, but no! It ended without a warning :(This book is angstier than the other 2, and the danger is also higher. A murderous painter, wow. It was creepy. But also, this one has less battles. Less...

This is the third full length in The Magpie series and it's still getting better and better. On one hand Lord Crane has got it bad for Mr Day. It's refreshing to have what might be considered the alpha in a relationship is the one who is totally in love and willing to give up anything for that love....

2.5 StarsBored through the first half, but the entertainment value picked up during the second half. I enjoyed the mystery, but I got sick of Crane complaining about Stephen's job. It was borderline whiny and I got tired of it fast.

One of my favorites of 2014. Lord Crane made my heart ache with all of his feelings for Stephen. He treats him so well and us ferocious when anyone wants to cause Stephen pain. Poor Stephen us struggling with self doubt and worry at the same time he's fallen hopelessly in love... What's he supposed...
