“Your best asset is your health, take advantage of it.
If it is good don’t spoil it; if it is not, don’t waste it anymore”
Pablo Picasso.
We are what we eat.
There are few truths as evident as this ne.
Once, your mother and the popular culture used to tell you.
Now, science is telling it to you too.
As in many fields of science, only time is needed to contrast a new hypothesis, and the dogmas and beliefs about what is right, just change.
In health this is not different, and slowly, new researches overlap the previous ones, revealing things we thought to be true are in reality, the product of circumstantial effects, collaterals, or even the direct result of economical pressure by the big companies.
Remember that, some studies about the benefits of certain foods and the problems of others, are funded and promoted by enterprises from the food industry — producers, manufacturers and/or dealers — and pharmaceuticals.
Naturally, and unfortunately, sometimes these enterprises will have more interest in their sales and benefits than in your real health.
That’s another motive why many products are labeled as healthy or dietary but in reality it makes you sick or gain weight.
Everybody knows that there’s undeniable scientific evidence that relates diet with specific physical diseases, starting with the known Type II diabetes or adult, and it goes on with the less known Type III diabetes or “of the elderly” (Alzheimer). To this, we have to add many other adult diseases, as hypertension, obesity and osteoporosis.
Besides, also, all the time scientific evidence is associating more the nutrition even with an intelligence quotient fluctuation.
As you hear. Have you ever felt heavier after eating trash food? That sensation of heaviness and psychological slowness is due to a subject, yhe brusque and considerable decrease of your intelligence quotient.
But, what happens if you eat more chronically? You’ll suffer a minor effect, but chronic — sustained over time — and sensible after all. Come on, it keeps you, unfortunately, of being all the smart you could be if you’d eat right.
In fact, do you know about the Flynn effect?
According to it, new generations have a higher intelligence quotient than past ones, and one of the factors attributed to such intellectual improvement is nutrition; therefore, genetic accumulation of beneficial mutations for generations, as for epigenetic changes (the way your DNA expresses according your life style) due to a better alimentation.
Now, find out about:
- The real history of health.
- What should you eat.
- How shout you eat.
