17-letnia Riley ma już wszystkiego po dziurki w nosie. Po wyniszczającej bitwie w Tabernacle, łowcy są martwi i ranni, jej chłopak Simon jest ciężko ranny, a jej ukochany zmarły ojciec został nielegalnie wskrzeszony z grobu przez bardzo potężnego nekromantę. Jakby tego było mało, jest jeszcze Ori, gorący niezależny łowca demonów, który zrobił sam z siebie nieoficjalnego strażnika Riley, i Beck, super opiekuńczy „przyjaciel”, który zachowuje się bardziej jak zrzędzący dziadek. Biorąc pod uwagę te wszystkie problemu, Riley jest prawie gotowa całkowicie opuścić Atlantę.

Ale wraz ze wzrostem liczby demonów w Atlancie, Watykan w końcu wysyła własnych Łowców Demonów, żeby zadbali o „mały” problem miasta, a zamieszanie rozpęta piekło.
