by Janet Evanovich
I liked both Jake and Amy and their love whirlwind was cute but the ending was kind of abrupt. Read With Me: Foul Play
This was cutesy, and I liked it, but some things just drove me nuts. I'd say it was the age in which it was written, but 1989 isn't THAT long ago. My issues were with how Amy wanted to cook for Jake, wash his clothes, her fantasies were so 50s-woman that it just drove me nuts. I'm also not sure why ...
Cute little book with plenty of humor and action that moved right along. Veterinarian Jake is attracted to news reporter Amy who just lost her job because she was replaced by a chicken.
Short, quick romance read. More clear early Plum influence, whichever way it goes. One of the better romance ones she's written. Yet again it's the guy who used to be a typical forever bachelor turning into the guy who wants mortgage payments and a picket fence.. she doesn't understand how guys thin...
Evanovich is the master of romantic suspense with a sense of humor.
Perfect rainy day read.
In spite of eliciting a chuckle or two this is quite possibly the stupidest book I ever have read.
