More manipulation built on lies, however this one ends with a ray of hope that may come to fruition for Kyla in the next book. Even better than the first book. The author has created a gritty, dark and scarily realistic world in this series and I can't wait for the third installment.

3.5 starsI have a hard time rating this book. It had so many roll-my-eyes-worthy moments that before I got to the end I was even thinking of rating it with only 2 stars. But I have to say the last 20% were good, interesting, intriguing and enough to make me curious of the next book.
