Frances Carter is an avid world traveler, and has visited more than 22 countries. . In addition to thoroughly exploring Hawaii, she has ridden a camel in Australia, fed elephants in Thailand, flown in a blimp, driven solo from Mexico to Panama, and still has much more of the world to explore. She lived in Hawaii for 13 years, where she worked as an editor for GUIDE to Oahu, GUIDE to Maui, and ALOHA magazines. She has a master's degree in social work from the University of Hawaii, and a master's in fine arts from Goddard College. She is also the author of Exploring Honolulu's Chinatown and Hawaii on Foot.
