Francesco Verso was born in Bologna (Italy) in 1973. Graduated in Environmental Economics in 2001, he started his professional career in IBM. In 2008 he quit the business world to devote himself to writing. He started writing in 1996: Antidoti umani (Human Antidotes) was finalist at 2004 Urania Mondadori Award. His second novel, E-Doll, marked his success with the Urania Mondadori Award in 2009 as Best Science Fiction Novel. His third book Livido (Livid), won the Odyssey Award, the Cassiopea Award and the Italy Award for Best SF novel. In 2011 he wrote BloodBusters a contemporary grotesque fiction novel, and started a fifth one - I Camminatori (The Walkers) that will deal with the substitution of food with nanotechnology. Beside writing, Francesco Verso directs a series of ebooks, called Future Fiction with international authors such as James Patrick Kelly (US), Ian McDonald (Northern Irland), Michalis Manolios (Greece), Cristian Teodorescu (Romania), Clelia Farris (Italy) and David Marusek (US).He lives in Rome with his wife and daughter.
