The arcade is more than a kids’ favorite place to hang out. Legends are made in the arcade as the gamers compete for the highest score, the special items, and the secret levels. But this day will be different. Legends will die. Robby Asaro’s physical body passed away some years ago, but his consciou...

I originally figured on 4.5 stars, but thinking about it, this book makes me so happy, it needs to be 5. I ordered Shock Totem's limited edition hardcover because it was awesome. I hadn't heard of Adam Cesare but the VHS tape cover and box were too much for this horror geek to pass up. It is, withou...

At little more than 2 1/2 hours, Zero Lives Remaining is a fun, punchy listen chock full of B-movie horror thrills.Adam Cesare’s latest plays with the haunted house trope, placing a group of teenagers in an arcade where a ghost haunts the video game cabinets and everyone’s lives are in danger. The g...

One of the most promising of the up and coming "new-wave" horror authors, Adam Cesare, again delivers what he does best with Zero Lives Remaining Namely, a gore-soaked throwback to the days of old. He's previously done much the same with cannibal movies (Tribesmen), horror movie VHS nights with frie...

In 1989, pizza artist Robby Asaro was killed when he accidently got sucked into the pizza oven at the Funcave arcade a la Mangler style. Dude was cooked to a crackling, greasy, pepperoni skinned perfection. 21 years later the Funcave is still rocking the old classic arcade games and has added some ...

You know the situation you're trying to bond with your step daughter and suggest to her mum that both of you travel to a log cabin ...

I read this awhile ago and am still fixing/updating my GR reviews one by one. Dan’s intentions were good. He wanted to bond with his love’s young daughter Nickie and takes her and her miniature dachshund on a weekend camping trip that turns into a nightmare when they are terrorized by an 8’ hungry...

The Sahmanach is a Halloween tale that spans three hundred years and two continents. Merran McCafferty is celebrating Halloween with her daughter when she finds an old manuscript that tells of a tale of her family from 300 hundred years ago, when a man called a monster in Scotland to attack members ...

Pretty typical gory monster fest. The story is about oversized crabs that invade NYC and the people sent to stop them. Overall I liked the book but there was some forced romance which felt very out of place in the book.

In a word: "Yikes!"This story/novella wastes no time getting started and is a vertical drop from the first 5 pages. Like someone else said, the front cover tells you all you need to know. As I was reading , I couldn't help but think that this story would make a great campfire story if you didn't ...
