I have not read this book but I know it is full of rhymes. I would use this book to introduce and reinforce rhymes in the classroom. I would use this book with all elementary grades. A activity I would use with the book is students would write their own rhyme words.
I owned a copy of this when I was little and it was a much beloved book. I just came across a reprint on the bargain bookshelf at B&N today and you better believe I snatched it up! So many memories! Can't wait to read with Izzy!
Great classic stories which I read to my children. They loved to listen to the stories and later read to each other. The illustrations by Frederick Richardson were well done.I noticed one of my daughters reading it when she came home from college, one weekend. The book is still in our library.
