A funny, quirky, and sexy kind of read that will make you giggle like a crazy person, especially if you're reading this in public. Did I just say funny and sexy at the same time? Yes I did. Damn, this book should have come with a warning. Friends Without Benefits is the second book in Penny Reid's...

A good summer read. It's nice to read a romance where, for once, it's the man who's more attuned to his feelings than the woman. Nico is totally besotted, had been in love with Elizabeth forever. She thinks you can only be in love once and she is sure he hates her. I can't wait to read more of Penny...

Normally, I wouldn't review two books at a time, but not only did I buy both of these at once after reading and loving Neanderthal Seeks Human, but I also read them both in a day and a half, and when you have two children and a full time job, that's saying a lot. I've stated before that I am not no...

This is the second book in the Knitting in the City Series by Penny Reid. I found the first book, Neanderthal Seeks Human, through some twist of fate and really, really liked the book. If I thought that this book was going to be a remake of the first one, I was in for a huge shock. To start off with...

Quickly-Hot Italian comedic hunk, struggles with desire for his life time love (Dr.Wanna Becoldass) who loved someone else and has closed her heart. Elizabeth- I liked the fact that the female lead was not a ditty blond but an accomplished self-made Dr. She is suffering from a pain so deep her life ...

I have always been drawn to the idea of knitting -- of having something to do with my hands while sitting still, of creating something beautiful and useful from a few balls of yarn, of being able to show my love to friends and family with hand-made gifts from the heart -- but in practice, I am a kni...

The drama with Elizabeth went on a bit too long. I was getting super frustrated with it. And I'm pretty sure no man has Nicco's patience. But, they seemed like semi-real people and I did enjoy the story. I will probably pick up the first in the series as I haven't read it yet.

Penny Reid is a pretty darn fantastic writer, but Friends Without Benefits suffers from the same problem that once plagued Neanderthal Seeks Human: typos. Other than that, and Elizabeth's frustrating indecisiveness, and the lack of more Janie (and her, uh, personality), this is a solid read. For a...

Reviews in less than 150 words... As a child Elizabeth was picked on by Nico. Through their teenage years there was no let up but she was able to endure it with the help of her one true love, Garrett. Then Garrett died and Elizabeth was left alone. Ten years later and Elizabeth, now a doctor ...
