Would actually give this one a 4.5, but it was so suspenseful, I decided to go with the 5 since 4.5 was not an option here.
Kay Scarpetta is one of the earliest mystery heroine characters. The plot is still the same as whodunit novels. But the element of Scarpetta's own life gave the story a bit of spice. The dedication of Scarpetta to ID a victim and not to account it as something as a mere evidence. Liked the twist and...
After a while it all got to be too much, Scarpetta came across as more disturbing than one might like.
