Frozen Heat -- Richard Castle Book 4 of Nikki Heat series I give the book credit for being better written with a smoother narration and story progression than previous books in this series. It even has a fairly good premise to spring the crime thriller from, which was pretty intriguing. Characte...

I was very excited when, earlier in the year, I was finally able to buy this installment in the critically acclaimed Heat/Rook Detective series. Now, in past books of this series, Nikki Heat has not been as personal and emotional in her cases. Yeah, she has shown some emotion, but we have never rea...

The review I left on Heat Wave applies to all books in the series. They are much of a muchness - that isn't a complaint!

I liked this book. I continue to adore Malcom and Reynolds for obvious reasons. I thought the CIA spy element was interesting but I don't buy Heat or anyone marginally competent thinking they can just put someone involved in that world in with the general population and think it'll be fine.

Hovered between giving this one 2 stars or 3 stars. I wanted to like it, but there were just too many things about this book that didn't sit right with me.First of all, even though I'm not regular viewer of Castle, I'm aware this series is ghost written and attributed to the fictional protagonist of...

I think this is the best of the "Richard Castle" books, so far. I only had the evenings to read, and not lots of time on a couple of those, so this was a pretty quick read. If you read these books you watch the show. And if you watch the show and are willing to invest time in the books, then you'...
