I absolutely love Jessica Valenti's work and this book was no exception. This is a great primer for feminism. Valenti uses her characteristic causal style (with lots of slang and swearing), which isn't for everyone, but definitely makes for an interesting and enjoyable read. The book is written in...

I recently found a quasi-local feminist book store that was starting a book club and Full Frontal Feminism by Jessica Valenti was their first selection. While I really enjoyed Full Frontal Feminism, mainly because of the accessible way it laid out feminist issues and why all women should be feminist (which, since I agree with this, is obviously going to make me pre-disposed to agree with and like the book) it annoyed me that Valenti twice got very i...

Every person in the entire world should read this book. Some of the stuff that is being done to keep women "barefoot and pregnant" is just absolutely horrific. READ IT!

It's a good intro into a very important cause. It was very focused on the US, so it's not as relevant to me (I live in Denmark), though it makes me feel grateful to be a Dane! Women have the right to abort here no matter what. But the wage gap is a problem here as well and so is 'rape culture'.

There were somethings in this book that I didn't need, like the chapter about the other -isms (although I want the t-shirt at the start of that chapter "So many -isms, so little time". The shirts at the...

Ever had that friend that told you “I’m not a feminist, but…” because this is the book for them. It’s also a great book for people who are starting to explore feminism. In Full Frontal Feminism, Valenti jumps from pop culture to sex education to violence against women and other numerous topics, prov...

With this book, Jessica Valenti (Feministing.org) presents an outstanding primer for third-wave feminists -- and women who may not yet realize that they are feminists. Information is presented in a feisty and entertaining fashion that keeps the reader's interest at the same time as educating them. ...
