Disclaimer: I am friends with the author of this book. That has not effected my ability to write an honest and critical review of his work.SPOILERS/SPOILERS/SPOILERS/SPOILERS!!!!!!!!An interesting twist on the werewolf story. I did notice a few editing/grammatical mistakes but that didn't mar my rea...

Packing a far nastier horror than you would envision given this is ostensibly a tale about werewolves going full-buffet on a nursing home, Edward Lorn's nasty short is an excellent way to remind yourself life could (just about) always be worse. The only reason this lost a star was because I failed t...

Another short story by Edward Lorn, and although quite enjoyable it isn't my favourite. I could feel the frustration Peter suffers after being put away by his family after he's had a massive stroke, but I guess the monsters were overdoing it a little for me. I would still recommend the story.

I don't deny that I might have a slight bit of bias when it comes to Edward Lorn's writing, but then again this is just the type of story that I love! A little creepy, a lot gory, and a whole bunch of fun to read. I think my favorite part of Full...

Fast, fun and free! Three of my favorite things. Oh yeah, and bloody. Also one of my favorite things...at least in a book :) I had fun thinking about Peter going home to "see" the family who dumped him at Cedar Hill. I hope it is a sloppy reunion.

Image lying in a bed, unable to move after a stroke, abandoned by your family...suddenly there are noises in the corridor; something is happening...something bad... This is what happens to Peter, and to find out what happens to him…you will have to read the story for yourself. The ending was per...

Immobile after a massive stroke, nursing home resident Peter Hoskins is waiting to die when the nursing home becomes the scene of an unholy massacre... Nana Lorn's favorite grandson does it again. This short story packs a lot of emotion into its pages, conveying the feeling of helplessness a para...

While I am not one for purchasing short stories on their own (I prefer anthologies or collections), I grabbed this freebie and was hooked! I don't want to give anything away, but I do like the twist and would love to read more featuring Peter and Pad :) Will be checking out more of Lorn's work an...
