Gabrielle David is a multidisciplinary artist who is a writer, musician, artist and photographer that writes poetry, essays and articles; creates stunning books and magazines; creates great websites; mount fantastic literary productions; and produces and edits videos. David puts her skills to good use for the Intercultural Alliance of Artist and Scholars, Inc. (IAAS), a NY-based nonprofit organization that promotes multicultural literature and literacy. While serving as its executive director, she is also editor-in-chief of the organization's award-winning literary publication, "phati'tude Literary Magazine," and publisher of its imprint, 2Leaf Press.She is a co-editor of "Hey Yo! Yo Soy! 40 Years of Nuyorican Street Poetry" by Jesús Papoleto Meléndez (2Leaf Press 2012) and "Obatala's Bugalu: A Nuyorican Book of Sights and Sounds" by Jaime "Shaggy" Flores (South of Harlem Libros, 2013). She is also the editor of "Branches of the Tree of Life, The Collected Works of Abiodun Oyewole, 1969-2013" (2Leaf Press, 2013). David's work has appeared in numerous print publications, websites and blogs, and she has produced programming at The Bowery Poetry Club, The Nuyorican Poets Café, Poet's House, Barnes and Nobles, and the Asia Society.
