A movie,"Red Dirt Rising", was inspired by her book RED DIRT TRACKS: THE FORGOTTEN HEROES OF EARLY STOCKCAR RACING. She and husband Ed have one daughter, and three grandchildren. It is a timely novel with believable characters and is a warm and heartwarming story of faith, courage and love. A video is available for viewing on this work. Gilt Entertainment of Palm Springs, Ca., has a movie option on the book FEARLESS HEART. She and her husband have recently returned to her roots in Rowan County, North Carolina. They have renovated the home built by her grandfather in 1905. It remained in the family until 2004 and they were able to procure it in 2011, bringing it back into the family which has loved it for generations.
