A major character returns to stir up the war between the Wardens and Djinn, and Joanne finds herself now fighting an additional faction of evil, as if things weren't screwed up enough for her. This one moves quick, and the reader now get a sense of overall tension building in the plot. I really like...
Read: 09/2010Re-Read: 09/20133.5 StarsThe transition between Gale Force and the last book in the series, Thin Air was off. Thin Air left off with the Jo and David racing off to fix the magnetic fields and then in Gale Force they are all of a sudden planning a wedding. I would have liked to read tha...
I hadn't read a Weather Warden book in a while now. I went to verificate that, and it turns out that i read Thin Air in the distant month of September 2012.And back then i remember loving it( my reviews say so..)...so i guess i should have read this series in one sitting.....because, now, i really h...
Rachel Caine sure knows how to drive a reader mental. That ending was crazy - I just hope Jo and David can finally get some peace in the next book, although chances are they won't. 5/5 stars
Another exciting installment in the Weather Warden series. Joanne is her usual bad ass, butt kicking self. Saving the world and preserving the balance of all things on Earth. The best part? She does it all while planning her wedding to her hot, sexy Djinn boyfriend David! I'm already looking forwa...
It took me a few days to read through Gale Force. I blame an abominable head cold more than the book. It was really good... too good to not read during the dizzies. I had to peck at it...very...slowly.Rachel Caine has created a series rich in mythos and varying at every turn. That's one of the thing...
Wow where do I begin. Sometimes you just fall into a series of books that take you away. In this case I was taken away in an all American heavy metal car that that can kick ass. Joanna Baldwin is a weather warden, with a flick of her hand the weather above can move and change to help the world stay ...
I really thought Jo was going to die that time. I can't understand why she forgave David so easily. He was the one that wanted her to marry him, and then he gets pissed because she did so. He needs to make up his mind!
Joanne Baldwin is on a vacation and is thrilled when her Djinn lover, David, asks for her hand in marriage. Unfortunately, her happiness is short lived. While organizing for her wedding, an earthquake erupts in Florida and is caused by a mysterious black shard. David cannot help her because he still...
Gale Force is book 7 in the Weather Warden series and I would strongly recommend reading the series in order. I think if you tried to read this as a stand alone book you'd probably be missing too much of the back story to get the full enjoyment from the book. I'm really enjoying this series though...
