I really enjoyed this. I like all of Hinds books though. The drawing is superb and I love how he takes Shakespeare and can edit it so well. It doesn't feel like it's missing anything, which is amazing. I'd recommend this and his King Lear graphic novel are amazing.
An outstanding graphic adaptation.
This is really cool and I want it.I haven't had time to read through the whole thing, but I've flipped through and looked at all the pictures. I just think it's a brilliant concept and a great companion to my literary tastes. It's something that would be lovely to have sitting on my shelf so I could ...

I've read it countless times so, naturally, I was excited to see it in graphic novel format. And trust me when I ...

It contains abridgements or excerpts of tons of terrific stories, from Gilgamesh to Les Liaisons Dangereuses, in comic book format. But who cares about abridgements or excerpts? To whom are they useful?I started, as pro...
Shockingly not a big Shakespeare fan. Graphics were a bit boring and did little to add more to the "play." I wasn't aware that "The Merchant of Venice" was a mobster story.
Tragic but nice story !!!
I respect what Gareth Hinds is doing, but retelling classics in comic form is just not my cup of tea. Plus, I am a lazy graphic novel reader and I had a lot of trouble telling these characters apart.
I really enjoyed this graphic novel adaptation of the story of Beowulf. It adds something to the story to be able to actually see it, and the artwork was wonderful. However unless you just know the story you'll miss some of it with this.
