Gary Kessler, author of the detective procedural mystery novel, "What the Spider Saw," now lives in Charlottesville, Virginia, following years of U.S. embassy service in East Asia and the Mediterranean, a twenty-seven-year career in an intelligence agency, and managing editor of a news agency. While abroad, he also served as entertainment columnist for four national-level foreign newspapers in Thailand and Cyprus and was a consultant for such movie productions as "The Deerhunter," "The Killing Fields," and "Good Morning Vietnam."Gary currently is a freelance book editor (http://www.editsbooks.com), working almost exclusively for mainline book publishers. His short story/essay collection, "On the Downtown Mall," is set in Charlottesville, Virginia. He coauthored, with Carol Kluz, a basic guide to publishing for new authors, "Finding Go! Matching Questions and Resources in Getting Published," which now is available on the Internet at http://www.publishingquestions.com as a Writers Digest 101 best site. He also is coauthor with Carole Stockberger of Bible study "(Re)Tell Me the Stories."
