'I fell in love with cartooning when I was a toddler. My earliest memories are pouring over the spread pages of the comics section, picking inspiration from the words and images of Al Capp, Walt Kelly and other great cartoonists. Captured by these worlds of fantasy, I soon began crafting my own stories and drawings. My imagination and cartooning skills often helped me cope with my shyness, cultivate friendships and survive the upheaval of moving around a lot.Whether the form of expression is comics, movies or books, I've always enjoyed storytellers who use bizarre and whimsical turns to address serious issues. After graduating from art school, I made my way to Los Angeles, where I found work in the animation industry, contributing to a number of projects for Hollywood animation studios such as Hanna-Barbera, Filmation, and Hearst Animation. With the birth of my daughter, Emily, I began to reconsider the issues of growing up in our society and the parent/child relationship. The Mythfits is my examination of these concerns cast in a fantasy world.I currently live in Northridge, California with my wife, Jayme, daughter, Emily, and dog, Baxter.
