First off, the cover is gorgeous and the main reason I chose to read Gates of Thread and Stone. Kai is some girl living in the bad part of a city with a secret, she can hold and adjust the threads of time. While she and her brother just want to get on with their lives, it's clear that will become im...
YA fantasy. I liked Kai a lot, and the worldbuilding was interesting if a bit vague at times. I didn’t find the romance particularly compelling and we were clearly meant to, but I am curious about the sequel.
I am somewhat split on this book. The first half was harder for me than the last half. Overall though it was a good offering from Lori Lee. The writing was strong and the world was quite interesting and those are both big reasons why this is getting 3*. It took awhile for the rebirth to be explained...
5 Stars *** E-Arc provided by NetGalley *** With the plethora of YA fiction available, picking what to read next can be really daunting, even for the most voracious of readers. Sometimes it seems to take longer to decide if a book is worth reading then to actually read it. I'm sorry to ...

I was so excited when I finally got this book in the mail. I had read a lot of really positive reviews on good reads, I adore Greek and Roman mythology, and I was ready to be completely blown away. I am not sure what I expected in a labyrinth retelling, but it was definitely not this. The references...
*An ARC was provided by the publisher in exchange for an honest review.*Gates of Thread and Stone was easily one of my most-anticipated new releases this year. The idea that the main character could manipulate the threads of time held all kinds of promise and the story itself really came off soundin...
